Who these terms cover

Luminosity Event Planning at luminosityeventplanning.com is operated by Luminosity Development LLC. These terms cover use of the website: accounts, event pages, registration, applications, the newsfeed, vendor and sponsor listings, connections, and messages. They describe the service as it works today. They are a starting point, not a claim about certifications or a promise of a particular service level.

The service

The site is for planning and attending family celebrations, small gatherings, and corporate events. You can publish an event, build a schedule that each guest sees in the time zone of their own device, register, apply to take part, post on an event newsfeed, list vendors and sponsors, and connect or message other people.

A virtual or hybrid session can link out to Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. This app does not host or stream that call.

Accounts

You need an account to register, apply, post, or message. Give a working email address and keep your password to yourself. By creating an account you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

Some events are marked adults only. Registering for one of those asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older.

Names people see

The name on your profile is your display name, also called your alias. Public pages, the newsfeed, and connections show that display name. They do not show the email address on your account. A presenter or team link with no display name uses a generic label, such as Presenter, rather than another name from the account.

The name you type when you create an account is saved as that starting display name. Change it on your profile if you want guests to see a different name. Organizers of an event you register for, apply to, or join as staff can still see the name and email on the account, because those screens are how they run the event.

What you post

You keep the text, photos, bios, applications, and messages you submit. You let Luminosity Development LLC store that material and show it to the people the product is built to show it to, such as guests of an event or a person you message. Post only what you have the right to share.

Newsfeed photos are re-encoded before they are stored. Location data in the file, such as GPS, and the original file name are removed. The same image handling applies to profile photos and to photos on vendor and sponsor pages.

Events, rules, and payment

Organizers write their own descriptions, rules, prices, and registration questions. When you register, you agree to that event's rules, and your answers are stored with the registration. Payment is not collected in this app. Organizers record it the way they already do. The app can store an amount, a method, and a note on a registration. It does not take card numbers.

Using the site fairly

Do not use the site to break the law, harass people, post someone else's private information, or try to get into an account, message, or event that is not yours. Platform admins can unpublish or suspend an event. Organizers can remove posts on their event and manage their own roster.

The service as it runs

The site is provided as it runs today. It may be unavailable sometimes, and features can change. These terms do not promise uninterrupted service. If the terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that date means you are using it under the updated terms.
